Born in New York and raised in Miami, Florida, Albert was exposed to music at a young age. His Cuban born mother was a piano teacher and taught him to appreciate music at 8 years old.

"My mother gave me weekly piano lessons, but what I really loved to do was sit and watch her play classical pieces, wishing that I could do the same. While my friends were outside playing, I was listening to Beethoven."

At age 10 Albert picked up drumsticks and taught himself to play while listening to the radio. Not until age 19 did he seriously consider music as his full time passion. A few years later he picked up what was to be his long lasting love affair with the bass guitar.

"It came naturally to me. With my understanding of music, especially percussion, bass guitar was a natural transition."

Today Albert says that his love for music, performing and traveling is what keeps him in the professional music scene.
